Charter by which John Smythe Congleton, mercer, concedes to Richard Grene, then mayor of Congulton and vintner of London, that half acre of his land and that parcel of meadow called le MerestaII with appurtenances, then in the tenure or occupation of the said John Smythe, situated in Holewaye within the lordship of Congleton in a place having the land of Ralph Moreton on the south and the land of Thomas Chorleye on the west and the land of Richard Grene on the other parts; to have and to hold the same forever.
These being witnesses:- the aforesaid Richard Grene then mayor of Congulton, Peter Brereton then bailiff of the said town, John Hobson and Geofrey Rotheson then aldermen of the said town, Raynold Smythe, Richard Chyrcheleye, James Moreton, and others.
